Liam Gallagher rolls into Cannes with ‘Supersonic’

Liam Gallagher was in Cannes last night to promote Oasis documentary Supersonic, from Amy duo James Gay-Rees, who is producing, and Asif Kapadia, who is executive producer.

지난 밤 리암 갤러거는 오아시스 다큐멘터리 Supersonic의 홍보차 칸을 찾았다. 이 영화는 영화 Amy를 공동 작업한 제임스 게이-리스James Gay-Rees가 프로듀싱하며, 아지프 카파디아Asif Kapadia가 제작 총지휘자를 맡았다.

They were attending a party at Villa Saf Saf hosted by Lorton Entertainment, who financed the project.

그들은 이 프로젝트에 투자한 Lorton 엔터테인먼트가 주관하는 Villa Saf Saf에서의 파티에 그 모습을 드러냈다.

Other guests at the event the project’s director Mat Whitecross and producers Fiona Neilson and Simon Halfon, as well as other industry including Michael Winterbottom, Andrew Eaton and Melissa Parmenter.

Producer Gay-Rees spoke about the project at an event in London.

Liam Gallagher denies retirement rumours

Tabloid reports had suggested that the Oasis man has quit music

A spokesperson for Liam Gallagher has denied that the former Oasis frontman has retired from music, following recent tabloid reports.

최근 있었던, 전 오아시스 프론트맨이 음악계에서 은퇴할 것이라던 타블로이드 보도에 대해 리암 갤러거 측 대변인이 전면 부정했다.

The Sun reported on Monday (March 7) that Gallagher had revealed the news to a fan in London, quoting the star as saying: “I am retired now. I can write 25 songs but all of them will be shit”.

이번 월요일 (3월 7일) 더 선 지에서는 갤러거가 런던에서 한 팬에게 했다는 말을 인용하며 이 소식을 전했다:  “난 지금 은퇴했어. 난 곡을 25개나 쓸 수 있지만 전부 다 쓰레기 같을 거야.”

Gallagher recently made similar comments while live-tweeting the Brits. He wrote: “Music in the UK has been abducted by massive cunts… Thank fuck I got out when I got out”.

However, Gallagher’s press representative has now dismissed the retirement rumours, telling NME: “In true tabloid style it’s not true”.

In a response issued to NME, Gallagher’s press representative said that the star wanted to “clarify that it wasn’t just the one eye, it was both”.

Renowned documentary director Asif Kapadia is to work on a new film charting the rise of Oasis, reports Deadline.
유명 다큐멘터리 감독 아지프 카파디아가 최근 오아시스의 성공을 다룬 다큐멘터리를 제작 중이다.
Kapadia recently helmed the Amy Winehouse documentary Amy, and also directed the hugely successful 2010 Ayrton Senna film Senna. He will act as executive director above the Spike Island director Mat Whitecross, while James Gay-Rees of production company On The Corner is also involved.
카파디아는 최근 에이미 와인하우스의 다큐멘터리 를 감독했으며, 또한 2010년 가장 성공적이었던 아일톤 세나의 영화 를 감독하기도 했다. 그는 *의 감독이었던 맷 화이트크로스** 감독의 제작자로 참여할 예정이며, 프로덕션 회사 On The Corner 사의 제임스 게이-리스***도 함께할 것으로 전해졌다.

Filmmakers are reported to have gained ‘unprecedented’ access to the Oasis archives, including previously unseen footage, in order to tell the story of the band from its earliest days to the release of debut album ‘Definitely Maybe‘ in 1994.
제작자들은 1994년 데뷔 앨범 Definitely Maybe 발매 당시 밴드의 초기 시절 이야기를 다루기 위해, 이전에 한번도 공개된 적 없는 영상들을 포함한, 오아시스 아카이브에 ‘전례 없이‘ 접근할 수 있는 자격을 얻었다고 전해졌다.

리암이 요 며칠 아일랜드 메이요에 머물렀다는 건 아시는 분들은 알고 계실 겁니다. 그 곳에 있던 중에 pub crawl을 다니면서 어떤 펍에서 어쿠스틱 공연을 했던 모양인데, 오늘 그 영상이 업로드. 제가 들어본 노래는 아니라서 아무래도 새 노래가 아닐까 하고 있습니다.

여기엔 폴 형님과 아들 레논도 함께 했었다고 하고, 같이 사진 찍고 함께 있었던 모 팬의 증언으로는 Do you wanna be the spaceman이라든지 Cigarette In Hell (오아시스의 Go Let It Out 싱글 b-side) 의 코러스를 불렀었다는 이야기도 있네요. (아래 캡처)

[TFI Friday 2015] 리암 갤러거 & 로저 달트리 My Generation w/ 본헤드, 이안 브로디, 제이 멜러, 잭 스타키

원래는 스톤 로지즈와 프라이멀 스크림의 베이시스트 마니가 참여할 예정이었지만 방송 전 수두에 걸렸다는 소식이 전해져서 참여하지 못했습니다. 제이 멜러는 그 대타로 참여한 듯 합니다.

이번 TFI Friday는 20주년 기념 일회성 파일럿으로 방송되었지만, 정규 편성 가능성의 여운을 남기며 성공적으로 마무리. 이외에도 블러, 루디멘탈, Years&Years가 각각 공연했으며 게스트로는 아만다 사이프리드, 유안 맥그리거, 루이스 해밀턴 등등이 출연.
