Liam Gallagher has signed to Warner Bros. Records UK, which will release his first solo album next year.

리암 갤러거가 내년 그의 첫 솔로 앨범을 발표를 위해 워너 브라더스 레코드 UK와 계약한다.

The label, which this year has been behind breakthrough star Dua Lipa, is led by Phil Christie – who took over as outright President in April.

올해 4월 완전히 사장직에 오른 Phil Christie가 이끄는 해당 레이블은 올해 신예 스타 Dua Lipa를 발굴하기도 했다.

Management duties for Gallagher are being handled by UROK Management – run by father-and-son team Sam and Roy Eldridge – in tandem with Debbie Gwyther.

갤러거를 위한 매니지먼트 일은 UROK 매니지먼트가 맡고 있으며 – 부자 관계 팀인 Sam과 Roy Eldridge가 운영한다 –  데비 기서Debbie Gwyther가 함께 협력하고 있다.

Gallagher’s previous management homes have included Scott Rodger’s Quest and Marcus Russell / Alec McKinlay’s Ignition.

갤러거의 전 매니지먼트로는 스콧 로저Scott Rodger의 퀘스트 매니지먼트와 마커스 러셀Marcus Russell/알렉 맥킨리Alec McKinlay가 이끄는 이그니션이 있다.

Recent tabloid reports have suggested that Gallagher is working with co-songwriters including Brendan Benson and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid.

As the frontman and lead singer for Oasis, Gallagher sold a combined total of 77 million copies across seven multiplatinum studio albums.

The band’s second record ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ remains the fifth biggest selling album in UK history.

After Oasis, Gallagher joined Beady Eye for the release of two top five albums and has since been working on the new Oasis film Supersonic that is due to be released in October.

오아시스 이후, 갤러거는 비디 아이를 결성해 두 장의 5위권 앨범을 발매했으며, 현재까지 올 10월 개봉 예정인 새로운 오아시스 영화인 Supersonic을 작업했다.

The Oasis Documentary Supersonic is due out on 2 October and according director Mat Whitecross the aim was to capture all the excitement of Oasis’s meteoric rise from early gigs in Manchester in ’93, through to their peak at Knebworth in August ’96, when they played to a quarter of a million people. “The problem we had,” Whitecross says, “was that, back then, not everything was filmed, unlike today, where everyone’s got their phones out.” However, the unseen footage includes scenes from Oasis’s disastrous 1994 gig at LA’s Whisky A Go Go, as well as the recording of Champagne Supernova.

오아시스 다큐멘터리 ⟨수퍼소닉⟩은 올해 10월 2일 (*영국 기준) 개봉을 앞두고 있으며, 감독 맷 화이크로스에 따르면 본 영화는 93년의 맨체스터 초기 공연에서부터, 96년 넵워스에서 20여 만 관중 앞에서 공연하는 것으로 정점을 찍기까지 이어지는 오아시스의 급부상과 그에 따른 모든 즐거움을  포착하는 것에 초점을 맞추고 있다고 한다. “우리의 문제는,” 화이트크로스가 말하길, “그때로 돌아가보자면, 모든 순간들이 촬영된 것이 아니었다는 점이다. 모두가 휴대폰을 들고 나오는 오늘날과는 다르게 말이다.” 그러나, 미공개 영상 중에는 Champagne Supernova의 녹음 과정 영상 뿐만 아니라, LA의 Whisky A Go Go에서 있었던 1994년의 재난 같은 공연도 포함될 것이라고 한다.

There are also unseen clips from rehearsals at Oasis’s debut TV performance on The Word, and from Knebworth, which has still never been fully documented.

또한 미공개 클립 영상 중에는 The Word에서 이루어진 오아시스의 TV 데뷰 공연과, 아직 제대로 자료화된 적 없는 넵워스에서의 모습들이 있을 것으로 전해진다.

There are no talking-head interviews, just voices narrating the footage you see unfolding. The effect, says Whitecross, “is like Liam and Noel are in the same room, like they’re having a conversation.”

본인이 화면에 출연해 면대면으로 이루어지는 인터뷰는 없을 것이며, 그저 펼쳐지는 영상들을 보는 사이에 목소리 나레이션이 깔리는 식이 될 것이라고 한다. 화이트크로스는 이렇게 말했다. “마치 리암과 노엘이 같은 방에 있는 듯한 느낌이 들 것이다. 마치 두 사람이 대화를 나누는 것처럼 말이다.”

Musicians do like to tease these days, and now that My Chemical Romance have cleared up yesterday’s reunion confusion (scroll down for details), Liam Gallagher has entered the fray…

The former Oasis and Beady Eye singer posted a mysterious tweet telling “so called troubadours” they should “be afraid”, calling out “plastic rock n rollers” to give their “paper crown 1 last cuddle” and concluding: “I’m on my way”.

이 전 오아시스 및 비디 아이 싱어는 이번에 “자칭 음유시인들”에게 그들이 “조심해”야 하며 또한 “가짜 로큰롤러”들에게는 그들의 “종이 왕관에 마지막 인사를 전하라”고 하는 의미심장한 트윗을 던졌습니다. 그리고 내린 결론은 다음과 같았죠: “내가 간다.”

But what does it mean?! We can’t wait to find out, and it gives Liam an alternative reason to use Twitter apart from winding up brother Noel…

2016년 7월 1일 리암 갤러거가 “이것은 공식이다, 로큰롤(RnR)이 돌아온다.”는 트윗을 발표, 새로운 활동 가능성을 암시했다.

또한 뒤이은 트윗을 통해 “잘 들어라, 오아시스 재결합은 없다. 나는 괜찮지만 우리애(노엘)가 별로 관심이 없다. 그는 지루하게 구느라 바쁘고 (나는) 새 사운드를 작업 중이니 가만히 있어라. 다 연관되어 있다”고 자신의 뜻을 밝혔다.

The upcoming Oasis documentary film from the makers of Amy and Senna has been given a title and release schedule.

영화 Amy와 Senna의 제작자들이 선사하는 다가올 오아시스 다큐멘터리 영화의 제목과 개봉 스케줄이 발표됐다.

Named after the band’s debut single ‘Supersonic‘, the movie has been set for a cinema release in October. It will follow the Oasis story from their earliest days in Manchester before signing to Creation Records in 1993, through their rapid rise to becoming the biggest band in the world by the time they played two nights at Knebworth Park in the summer of 1996.

밴드의 데뷔 싱글 앨범을 딴 영화 ‘Supersonic’은, 올해 10월 중 개봉될 예정이다. 이 영화는 오아시스가 1993년 크리에이션 레코드와 계약하기 전 맨체스터에서 보낸 초기 시절부터 시작해, 가파른 상승세를 타고 당대의 세계에서 가장 큰 밴드가 되어 1996년 여름날 넵워스 공원에서 두 번의 공연을 하기까지의 이야기를 다룬다.

“The love and the vibe and the  passion and the rage and the joy that are coming from the crowd, if anything, that’s what Oasis was,” Noel Gallagher says.

“관객들로부터 전해져 오는 그 사랑과 분위기, 열정, 분노, 그리고 기쁨, 그 밖에 그 어떤 것이든, 그것이 바로 오아시스였다.” 노엘 갤러거가 말했다.
